Asal Houshiarnejad, PsyD

Dr. Asal Houshiarnejad "Nejad" is a bilingual (English and Farsi) licensed clinical psychologist (PSY28994) with training from Phoenix Children's Hospital/BARROW Neurological Institute and UCLA/The Help Group. Specializing in neuropsychological assessments and evidence-based therapeutic services, Dr. Asal bridges neuroscience with treatment for children, adolescents, and young adults with various neurodevelopmental, neurological, medical, and psychiatric conditions. Her approach considers cross-cultural, linguistic, and personality factors to gain a comprehensive understanding of each individual. At EBPC, Inc. Dr. Asal trains and supervises clinicians to deliver high quality assessments and mental health care. Dr. Asal also sees patients and families privately through her private practice. Cara Kiff, PhD

Dr. Cara Kiff is a licensed clinical psychologist in California, Colorado, Illinois and Vermont (CA PSY 27786, CO PSY.000571, IL 071.011262, VT 048.0134514TELE). Trained at the University of Washington, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and the UCLA Semel Institute Dr. Kiff is well versed in evidence based therapies to treat a variety of child, adolescent and young adult concerns. Dr. Kiff specializes in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and body focused repetitive behavior disorders to name a few. She also specializes in parent consultation and coaching providing integrated, family-based care. At EPBC, Inc. Dr. Kiff trains and supervises clinicians to deliver high quality mental health care integrating evidence based treatments including CBT, DBT skills training, ERP, and more. Jasmine Cedeno, MA, AMFT

Under the supervision of Dr. Cara Kiff, Ph.D., Jasmine Cedeno (AMFT117401) has received valuable training at community mental health centers and private practice settings. Jasmine is trained in various family systems and behavioral modalities to treat multiple social and emotional challenges. Her clinical experience includes working with seniors, adults, children, and teenagers to address anxiety, depression, and trauma. Using evidence based therapies Jasmine helps clients address stress brought on by high academic standards, low self-esteem/self-worth, discrimination, medical illness, family conflict, and life transitions. Jasmine strongly emphasizes bringing awareness and insight to her clients through exploring family and relational dynamics, drawing on client strengths and support systems, challenging unhelpful thoughts/behaviors, and aiding her clients in building personal resources for success.
Jasmine holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix and her Masters in Marital and Family Therapy with honors from Alliant International University-California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. - She enjoys spending time with her family, pets, the outdoors, and exploring new places in the city. As a lifelong learner, Jasmine continues her professional development by gaining knowledge through research and case consultation with her supervisor and attending trainings, workshops, and conferences.

Maryam Shahrokhi, MD

Dr. Maryam Shahrokhi is a devoted mother, esteemed parent educator, and former preschool teacher with a wealth of experience as a speaker, child advocate, and Pediatrician. Throughout her life, both personally and professionally, she has passionately committed herself to enhancing the well-being and development of children. Dr. Shahrokhi is renowned for her rare gift of perceiving the world through a child’s eyes and articulating their unspoken needs, earning her the title of The Child and Parent Whisperer.
With a deep understanding of the challenges and joys of parenthood, Dr. Shahrokhi empowers parents to cultivate nurturing environments that foster growth, change, and emotional safety for their children. She is dedicated to helping parents shift from reactive to responsive parenting through practical tools and compassionate strategies, promoting a connected and harmonious family dynamic.
Drawing from her own experiences as a single mother navigating the complexities of divorce and co-parenting, Dr. Shahrokhi’s journey of self-discovery has enriched her approach to parenting. Her insights into patience, individualized care, and effective behavior management are among the many lessons she shares with families. Dr. Shahrokhi can offer social-emotional counseling, group counseling, and parent support and education that is effective yet compassionate. Her mission is to elevate the quality of parenting and support healthy child development, offering guidance that resonates on both an emotional and practical level.
